Rebeca Mesa

Before OpenSesame, Rebeca was in charge of growing partnerships at 2U/edX, a technology & services platform working with top universities and enterprises in their pursuit of outstanding digital education and life-changing outcomes for students worldwide. Before 2U, Rebeca was part of Laureate’s leadership team in Spain, where she turned around the international business of its flagship institution worldwide from a marketing segment to the largest and fastest growing business unit through a combination of product, revenue and business development initiatives. Before Laureate, Rebeca was a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. in Brazil, held marketing positions with a focus on B2B brand and go-to-market strategy and did some fun stuff in Media & Entertainment.

Constant themes in her career have been business strategy, transformation and internationality. Rebeca is great at making things happen, building trust and leading people. Rebeca has studied in five different countries at top institutions such as Kellogg and Harvard. Rebeca thrives in environments with a high degree of uncertainty and growth, and she is passionate about learning and ventures that can change the world for the better.
