Rolling Up Our Sleeves: OpenSesame Announces $8M in Additional Funding
At OpenSesame, we strive to make selling and purchasing elearning as simple as possible. We ourselves had experienced the challenges of accessing quality content—the lengthy negotiations, multiple year contracts, and complicated pricing—prompting us to launch OpenSesame more than two years ago.
Since our launch, we have built a platform that dramatically reduces the time from need to training solution, with courses that are available instantly online, through email, or in any Learning Management System (LMS). We have helped large corporations eliminate elearning waste, paying only for the courses they use, and saving 40-50% in the process. Plus, we have grown our catalog to 20,000+ courses, making us the world’s largest source for elearning courses focused on employee training.
But there is still more work to be done.
We want to continue improving and growing OpenSesame, which is why are pleased to announce we recently raised $8 million in a Series A funding round, lead by Partech Ventures.
The additional funding will allow us to expand our sales, engineering and marketing teams to continue product improvements and execute on new product ideas that we plan to roll out in 2014. We are also excited to add Nicolas El Baze, General Partner at Partech Ventures, to our board. Nicolas brings both operational experience and international connections to the team.
The elearning market is growing at an exponential rate, even as training managers are expected to work with less and less budget. OpenSesame already provides a simple and affordable way to get the most from your elearning budget, without having to worry about a long-term commitment. This recent round of funding ensures we’ll only get better from here.
